So You Wanna Be A Baller? The Documentary.
PeakPath Foundation has partnered with Mt. Zion Prep Girls Basketball Team to raise $500,000 to get this documentary off the ground. This document is about the GRIND behind GREATNESS. Your support makes this possible.
Why This Campaign Matters
This isn’t just basketball. It’s life lessons, sisterhood, and the fight for opportunity. In a world where NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals are changing the landscape of youth sports, it's easy to get lost in the hype, the followers, the highlight reels. But for these girls, the grind goes far beyond branding. It’s about grit, the kind forged during 5 a.m. conditioning and late-night study sessions. It’s about sacrifice, missing birthday parties, family gatherings, and carefree weekends all for a dream that demands EVERYTHING. Most of all, it’s about family, the teammates who become sisters, the coaches who become mentors, and the parents who give it all so their daughters can chase what once felt impossible. "So You Wanna Be a Baller?" isn’t just a documentary. It’s a window into the real cost and the real beauty of chasing greatness in today’s game.

The Documentary
What We've Filmed
We’ve already kicked off production by capturing Mt. Zion’s legendary Boot Camp — a grueling, one-week training program that sets the tone for the entire season. Over 6 days, we filmed:
- Behind-the-scenes access to players’ daily lives - from daily talks to receiving their team gear.
- Player arrivals and introductions as they come together for the first time.
- Candid moments of team bonding, including off-court activities like Dave & Busters, shopping, etc.
- Intense training sessions that highlight the physical and mental preparation it takes to be great.
- Raw, heartfelt interviews with players and coaches, answering the ultimate question: “What does it take to be a baller?”
This footage is the foundation of the documentary, proof that the story is alive, happening right now, and ready to be told.
